The Coorong and Lower Lakes Environment Forum is being held on Friday 30 January 2015 to celebrate World Wetlands Day. This year’s theme is Wetlands for our Future.

Thirty years ago the Coorong and Lower Lakes were designated a Ramsar ‘Wetland of International Importance’ by the Australian Government, to help secure the long-term health of the site.

Come and hear a range of scientists, community organisations and managers share and discuss the latest information about the health of this unique wetland – past, present and future.

This event is being jointly hosted by the Lakes Hubs, Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources and Alexandrina District Council.

The Forum will be followed on Sunday 1 February 2015 with a Wetlands Film Festival, hosted by the Lakes Hubs, to be held at Centenary Hall, Goolwa.

RSVPs can be sent to Faith Coleman, Lakes Hubs Coordinator, at info@lakeshub.com by 28 January 2015.
