POSITION VACANT
LAKES HUB COMMUNITY NURSERY NETWORK COORDINATOR
Part Time .8FTE until 30th June 2014
Applications are invited for the position of Lakes Hub Community Nursery Network Coordinator based at Milang but having responsibilities to support the Coorong, Lake Alexandrina and Lake Albert communities.
The objective of the position is to;
- Continue to develop and support the Lakes Community Nurseries Network members.
- Assist community groups and micro businesses to implement community propagation/nursery projects and best practice nursery management.
- Provide support to landholders and community in seed collection and storage, nursery development, remediation and monitoring activities.
- Coordinate, implement and evaluate the Community Nursery program as outlined in the funding agreement between the Milang & District Community Association and the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources.
The successful applicant must be committed to community development principles and have qualifications and/or previous experience in natural resource/horticultural project management in a community setting. Extensive knowledge of local plant species will be highly regarded.
